DABALA, Volta Region. The management of Nutekpor Basic School has formally thanked the De Mayor Foundation for a donation of books to the school, describing the support as timely and significant to its efforts to raise literacy levels among pupils.

The commendation came in a letter dated 7th July, 2026, signed by the school's headteacher, Mr. Simon Sewornu Ahorsu, and addressed to the Director of the Accra-based foundation.

Writing on behalf of students, staff and management, Mr. Ahorsu said the donation arrived at a crucial point in the school's push to strengthen reading and writing among its learners and to improve overall academic performance. He noted that the books would broaden pupils' access to knowledge and serve as valuable learning resources.

The headteacher further expressed the school's gratitude for what he described as the foundation's kindness, generosity and unwavering commitment to supporting education in the community. He added that the gesture had become a source of motivation for teachers and students alike as they pursue academic excellence.

Mr. Ahorsu pledged to keep the foundation informed of the impact of the donation on the academic progress of the school's learners.
